YouthNet Nagaland in collaboration with Nagaland Tourism and Department of Higher Education, Government of Nagaland presents the Sixth Edition of Hornbill First Cut Inter-Collegiate Entrepreneurship Competition which is an activity-based entrepreneurial competition giving students an opportunity to come up with a business idea and execute it within a stipulated time period.
Financed with a seed amount of Rs. 20,000 per team, the objective is to educate students about entrepreneurship and opportunities in the private sector while giving them a taste of the challenges that they will face in the business environment.
Theme
This year’s theme is ‘Out of the Box’. Students are encouraged to use their creative thinking to formulate a business idea in terms of products or services in Nagaland. The business plan should be constructed in such a way that the idea is fresh and applicable in business. It is mandatory for the participants to have at least a product or service they will be providing to be completely new or innovative which will cover the theme which authenticates the product or service as ‘Made in Nagaland’.
Important Guidelines
The competition is open for all undergraduate and graduate students. However, it is the prerogative of the college authorities to select team/teams from any batch and send their students for the competition. Each college may send applications consisting of one or two teams. Each team must contain 5 students.
Competition Dates
The competition will be held from December 1 – 8, 2019. The students participating will have to be fully involved in their respective business activities throughout the day during these dates.
