Vice Principal’s Message
Dear Tetso Family,
Greetings to everyone.
The year 2021 has brought in fresh energy and a new start for all of us. In the College, there is a lot of activity going on, as the community gears up for reopening on campus starting with the Higher Secondary Level from February. Some exciting amenities to look forward to when you return to campus are the new upgraded Zumba and badminton stadium at Tetso Arena and the upgraded HotSpot centre and provision store.
You might be surprised to see a few buildings replaced with the ongoing construction work; all underway to feature the new indoor amphitheatre for your college events and functions and Office/reception block which will include additional conference rooms for you all to meet and brainstorm.
The concluding months of 2020 had us continuing college activities online, and we managed to achieve many important milestones. The 25 Year Anniversary celebrations were successfully conducted with the unveiling of the memorial stone by the Founders Dr. P.S. Lorin and Mrs. Shasinle Lorin on 4th December 2020 and a meaningful programme to mark the occasion.
We have seen amazing sets of talent from our students and clubs in honour of the 25th Anniversary, and are overwhelmed by the submissions and letters of support received from different organisations reminding us of the important responsibility we shoulder to impart quality education and recommit to our mission and vision of impacting lives. Thank you for constantly believing and supporting the efforts made by the Tetso community, even as we move on the next milestone.
Towards this end, the IQAC Cell has also successfully conducted a NAAC sponsored national seminar on the theme “Higher Education in Northeast India: Trends, Challenges and Opportunities” on 22nd & 23rd January 2021. The presentations and outcome reveal the focussed concern and academic response towards a more digital future with rapid transformations in the way education must be delivered, while being sensitive to the practical realities and challenges faced at the ground level in our State of Nagaland. Tetso College however, remains hopeful and determined to provide students with the best of facilities and faculty to overcome the gaps in higher education.
We encourage everyone to continue to remain positive and passionate about learning as we embark on 2021 with much anticipation.
Strive for excellence.
Dr. Hewasa Lorin
