Effects of COVID-19 on The World

The year of 2020 can be term as the pandemic year where the world witnessed a global change. The Coronaviirus or COVID-19 broke out towards the end of 2019, however the major effects began in the early of 2020.

Many nations started to face the increase in the rise of both mortality rate and infection. The whole world was in race to develop the vaccine but in vain. This virus brought about different breakdowns in the whole world. The countries started to face the consequences for the virus. There was a contradiction in claiming the origin of the virus but the world had to face the bitter truth of suffering.

Many nations had to lose their population due to the coronavirus. Apart from the decrease in population, the pillars of different nations were affected:

Economy: Many countries had to put a halt to economic activities because the health of the people was at stake. There was a decline in economic development worldwide.

Migrants: Many people especially the migrants underwent a lot of problems. They had to get back to their own cities but the lockdown detained them in foreign cities. They faced hunger and thirst during this time.

Stranded People: People settled in different parts of the country for work or study faced another kind of problem which was to return home. With the help of the State and Central Governments, they were brought back to their respective states.

Quarantine Centers: Different quarantine centers were set up in both the rural and urban areas for the safeguard of the stranded people as well as the society. The government had to sanction a fund for the stranded people allowed in quarantine centers.

Frontline Workers: To tackle the pandemic, frontline workers were required to look after the situation especially doctors, health workers and law enforcement agencies. Administrative services as well as other government agencies were also pressed into service to regain normalcy of the situation.

Hence, although the world is suffering, different organisations and government agencies are doing the best to do away with the virus. I sincerely hope that the world recovers soon and be filled with prosperity, peace and joy again.
