Painted our mind with colours
Like rainbows during monsoon.
Fed our curiosities
With unparalleled knowledge and wisdom.
As cold as winter,
Firmly we were taught.
Yet, as warm as summer,
You embraced us with patience.
We were but mere saplings,
Tender, small and vulnerable.
Yet your care, love and compassion
Helped us grow into a baobab.
As clumsy as we were,
Your patience never ran dry.
As unintelligible as we were,
You taught us with love.
A teacher to society,
But more than that to us.
An institution to the world,
A second home to us.
