Creative Writing Sentilong ozukum
Dimapur, July 2: A Creative Writing Session was organised on 2nd July 2019 by the Department of English, Tetso College. Naga novelist Sentilong Ozukum was the resource person for the event. The main aim of the initiative was to help students understand the process of creative writing, and inspire them to write. The resource person highlighted the importance of reading, considering the fact that the reading habit has been declining among newer generations, mostly due to the emergence of digital media and communications technologies. The resource person mentioned that reading can keep minds healthy and expand one’s imagination and creative thinking.
Sentilong Ozukum familiarised the students with the many types of creative writing, and they participated in various creative writing exercises. The session is a part of the Department’s initiative to invite Naga writers to interact with their students with the aim to popularize Naga writing.
