About the Author: My name is Merasen-na Jamir. I’m currently in BA English 6th Semester at Tetso College. I used to love reading as a child and the satisfaction at the end of the book is what made me want to write. Later, writing turned out to be my way of finding peace and now it has become a part of me. I write because I want to build a safe rest house for my readers when they need it the most.

About the Book: “Into my Abyss” is a book I wrote as a teenager and how I saw the world back then. It talks about peer pressure, the corruption that just openly breeds without any sense of fear, the educational value and the system it has, about the Orthodox Naga society which creates toxicity even within our own families and how much mental health is still such a taboo or thought of as superficial. There are hints of love and friendship all around the book. I wrote this as a means of telling the teens today that there is always someone and that they aren’t alone, also to the society that we need to break these chains instead of always talking about breaking the stigma and not doing anything about it.
