As a school going girl, I was excited about the new year, to attend a new class and meet friends, teachers and face yet another challenge of life because life is about overcoming challenges. While I was waiting for my results and institution to open, the battle with the deathly disease known as COVID -19 started to brew in other parts of the world.
Unfortunately, just before my school reopened, a positive case of the disease was reported in my State and the Government announced a nation-wide total lockdown as positive cases were increasing in the country. That was the point in my life when I felt worst. I was totally confused and depressed because of what the whole world was experiencing.
Suddenly, life changed for everybody and it was the worst feeling. The only way out to prevent the spread of this pandemic was to frequently wash hands, use sanitizers, wear masks and avoid crowds.
During this hard time, my teachers played a great role in my life as they continued to motivate and inspire me in many ways. Despite all odds, our teachers continued reaching out to us through virtual classes and strove to equip us with the best education. Through their efforts, I was able to come out of my fear and anxiety.
Through this, I want to encourage everybody to never stop educating and encouraging yourself and others. Education is what makes us embrace ourselves who we are.
