The pandemic COVID-19 has caused major disruptions all around the world and the impact pervades every facet of daily life. Of course, the chief concern about the novel coronavirus is its impact on community health and our healthcare system. COVID-19 has no system and structure.
Due to separation, alienation, and distrust between people, our normal life has changed. People are learning to cope with the new way of life where all have to contend with extraordinary challenges. In this crisis, not only the government is involved in fighting against the virus but there are many Naga civil societies or NGOs that are tremendously supporting the government in the fight.
Many organizations, NGOs and churches are contributing generously by donating and rendering voluntary services. NGOs or various social organisations are exhibiting the humanitarian act by giving to those who are in need. In my society, many people are facing social trauma related issues due to inflation of commodities. Many are labourers and daily wage earners are out of work and income.
Also, student bodies and organizations are taking active part in creating or spreading awareness on the virus in different towns and villages. This is being done by giving proper education on maintaining social distance and how to be safe from this deadly virus. In this lockdown, churches are also playing a vital role by giving relief funds and by preaching the gospel of God to those who are in need of calm.
COVID-19 is new for all of us and in this time of anxiety and suffering, the government along with several organisations are doing an excellent job. Undoubtedly, it has proven that working in unity can overcome any challenge.
