Short interview with Thungjamo Odyuo, Naga novelist by DotTalks Reporter

Short Interview with Mr. Thungjamo Odyuo, Naga novelist.

Reporter: Hello Sir. It is really nice to finally meet you after reading your work, “Steve, Poor Steve”. I am really curious as to when you started writing. Could you tell us your age when you began writing professionally?

Thungjamo: Yes, thank you. Actually I began rather late around the age of 32 to 33. I believe you are never really late to start writing and so I started at that age even though it seemed a bit too late.
Many students and others as well have asked me whether I will be writing a sequel to “Steve, Poor Steve” or any other novel but I feel that with my aging I am losing touch of romance to be able to write another book. But hopefully, after I’ve retired I will try to do so.

R: What inspired you to take up writing?

T: Actually as said during the session we had today, I began writing poems and they were not much appreciated by the people and it was indeed difficult to stay focused as we had to think about it while we are in the kitchen or when we’re elsewhere, so I took up writing novels. My novels are of course for pleasure reading but I want to share lessons through my novels in order for you and I to be benefited.
I felt things just come to me more when I wrote novels so I decided to stick to it.

T: I hope you guys had a great time listening to all the things we discussed earlier?

R: Yes Sir I’m sure everyone must have learned something new today and we are thankful for your time with us. Until next time, Sir.
